FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Adaptive Flashcards, spaced repetition, and competitive exam preparation.
Competitive Exam Preparation
How long does competitive exam preparation take?
▼
Most aspirants benefit from 8–12 months of consistent daily practice. With Adaptive Flashcards' spaced repetition algorithm, 15–30 minutes of focused revision per day significantly strengthens long-term recall of SSC-CGL, UPSC, TNPSC, and TNTET concepts.
What is the best way to prepare for competitive exams?
▼
The most effective strategy is consistent daily review using spaced repetition, combined with understanding the underlying concepts. Adaptive Flashcards automates the SRS scheduling so you focus on learning, not on deciding what to revise.
How many new questions should I study per day?
▼
Research suggests 10–20 new items per day is the optimal range for most students. Consistency over weeks and months matters far more than studying large volumes in a single session.
Which subjects does Adaptive Flashcards cover?
▼
Adaptive Flashcards covers SSC-CGL, UPSC, TNPSC, and TNTET — core competitive exam subjects. Flashcards are organized into topic-based decks so you can focus on specific areas.
Can I use Adaptive Flashcards alongside my regular coaching?
▼
Absolutely. Adaptive Flashcards is designed as a daily revision tool that complements your coaching or self-study. Use your classes for learning new concepts, then reinforce them with Adaptive Flashcards to lock them into long-term memory.
Using the App
How do the flashcards work?
▼
Each flashcard shows a question on the front. Tap the card or press "Reveal" to flip it and see the answer. Once you've seen the answer, you can move to the next card.
How do I navigate between cards?
▼
Use the Prev and Next buttons at the bottom of the card. You must reveal the answer before advancing to the next card — this ensures active recall rather than passive scrolling.
How are cards organised?
▼
Cards are organised into decks by topic and subject. From the main screen, select a section (SSC-CGL, UPSC, TNPSC, or TNTET), then choose a specific deck to start a session.
How long should each study session be?
▼
Short, consistent sessions work best. 15–30 minutes of focused daily practice is far more effective than long, infrequent cramming sessions. Regular review is the key to long-term retention.
Can I go back to a card I already saw?
▼
Yes. Use the Prev button to revisit any card in the current session. You can move freely forwards and backwards through the deck at any time.
